Jenny Liedberg is a wife, mother of 3 and a riding instructor. She has been teaching hunter/jumper lessons for 10 years, 8 of which have been at her farm in Oglethorpe county.
Jenny graduated from Auburn University with a degree an Animal Science and a minor in Equine Science. She successfully completed classes using the Clinton Anderson method of training horses, as well as the Master Equine Management program.

Over the years, Jenny has instructed girls as young as four and adults seeking to regain their confidence as riders. Her students have competed at AAHJA shows and Newton County Saddle Club shows. Other experiences include horse camps, fun days, serving on the board of the Winterville Saddle Club, and coaching the Oglethorpe County 4-H horse quiz bowl team and horse judging team.

Jenny believes that riding should first and foremost be safe. After that, it should be fun. To enhance learning during lessons, she incorporates games and other activities. While competing at shows is exciting, Jenny believes that there is more to riding than showing. The rider should be her horse's partner and should try to understand just what makes her horse tick and why her horse does the things that it does. Above all, then, riding is about horsemanship: caring for your horse's needs and being able to handle any situation inside and outside the show ring.

Saturday Hay Days: March Hay Day Images
To enhance the horsemanship skills of her students, Jenny will plan "Saturday Hay Days" at the Riding Academy at a cost of $15.00, with lunch included.
One Saturday a month, all students can come together and form friendships with each other while learning more about the horses they love. Young and old will work and learn together. There will be games on horseback, helping out with chores that need to be done at the Academy, and some mini "clinics," such as pulling manes, feeds and nutrition, braiding, hoof care and so on.
